A day of firsts!

As I've mentioned in a previous post, this weekend is a long one for chubs. Plans in place today:

1. 1st time at a fast food joint - breakfast at Macca's

2. 1st time in a hotel room - MBS for a whole day of fun (for Nic's birthday)

For Macca's, it was a spontaneous breakfast outing. Chubs woke up since 6+ in the morning and refused to go back to sleep. All 3 of us couldn't get back to sleep and hubs suggested having Macca's brekkie since we hadn't had it in quite a while. After a quick washing-up, we took chubs outta crib (still in her sleepwear, mind you) and off we go. Didn't shower her because it's too early in the morning and took minimal stuff along since we didnt expect it to be a long trip.

Hubs called his mum and see if she wanted to come along (she's an early riser). She prompty said yes and before we knew it, 6 of us were ar AMK Macca's Cafe! Hubs' parents and aunt, chubs and I. I made it known to the folks that she should be kept away from fast food for as long as possible for obvious reasons. Nearly lost the battle with them but I prevailed! Only thing for chubs out of this Macca's trip is the toy from my Happy Meal.

Took her home after that and rest before getting her all prepped for the MBS outting. Hubs did not join us as he was going in to JB with his bunch of friends.

our room is finally ready! It's hugeeee, I tell ya! All thanks to Nic's boss, we managed to get a big room with a terrific view :)

Lynette's maternal instinct kicked in and she decided to give the feeding a go - chubs looked a bit skeptical

After everything, I drove home, just chubs and me. I was so afraid she might not be cooperative and get all fussy in the car (she's usually very good in the car but we never know with babies, do we!) and I might then get distracted and into an accident! Yes yes, some scary thoughts there but I guess I think too much because chubs behaved very well throughout the ride (she was asleep all the way) lest for a little whimper but all that was OK with a little pat.

All in all, she had really good fun and loved the hotel room very much! Let's see when we will have a chance to take her there again (without burning a hole in my pocket)!
