Gong gong's birthday + NDP Preview

Today's my Dad's birthday, and thanks to my Aunty Theresa, she helped us book a highly sought after table(due to NDP preview) at Palm Beach at One Fullerton. Upon reaching there, we realised the preview was a big deal to many fellow Singaporeans! Alot of them were already stationed at the pathway, armed with pro-looking cameras, just waiting for the preview to start.

My family actually weren't so into the scene before this but seeing the crowd there really made you just want to be part of it. Turns out the dining area were cordoned off to the non-dining public so we actually had very comfortable space to move about, with a very good view of the impending parade.

All kids and adults were just taking in the scene before dinner, nobody could sit still at the tables! We were just all moving around, soaking in the patriotic atmosphere while waiting for our food. When food arrived, we tried to hasten our eating pace as we wanted to catch the fireworks display at ease. Whilst eating, the cannons went off to signal the start of the inspection parade and Ash was rather rattled by the loud sound. We had to soothe her for a while before she got used to it and realised that the booming sound is harmless.

The fireworks was spectacular! We were in a really nice spot and it was just nice taking in all these with all my loved ones.

Happy grandparents with Ash

Helicopters flew past and when the flying ended, she's asking, "copters(helicopters) where?"

sneaky little imp kept trying to tuck her fingers into the yummy-looking cake (thanks to my sis getting Apple Martini cake from Pine Garden)

Not forgetting to share the goodness

Happy Birthday, Gong gong!

It was a very pleasant evening with my family and I really do enjoy and cherish every family dinner outing more now that the years are catching up with my parents. I feel very happy just looking at them spending time with their grandchildren, all the while their faces lit with happy grins and smiles.

Daddy/Gong gong, we all love you very much and here's wishing you a very happy birthday and more many to come!
