X'mas Eve and a wedding dinner

It's X'mas Eve! No major celebrations planned for today because we had to attend a wedding dinner on Alvin's side of the family. It turned out to be more enjoyable than we had expected because we were all occupied with playing with Ashley.

Today looks set to be a busy day ahead... what with a X'mas brunch with our friends at Mt. Emily followed by Baby Chloe's full month celebration and Ashley's 1st year lunar birthday ritual. Here goes:

Mt. Emily is a nice hangout place with good food and we don't rule out hanging out there again! Chubs seemed to like it there as well :)

Sidenote: Agnes, Lixia and Shujuan are all pregnant and their EDDs are within a month of one another (in May and June)! Such a coincidence!  

After an enjoyable brunch and exchange of presents (for the little kiddos only), we trotted over to Ginny's for Baby Chloe's full month celebration at Bishan.

Stayed at Ginny's for only a little while as chubs wa getting tired and cranky. Went over to my parents' for the weekly visit and was told by my mum that today's chubs' 1st lunar birthday! Promptly and spontaneously brought out a few items to "predict" chubs' future based on the items she selected.

Very good girl! Not tempted by money... hahahaha. But I bet if food is one of the items, she might just have picked that as the first item :s Nonetheless, based on the items she had selected, fortune teller Tans (my family) "predicted" she will be a smart girl who loves studying! Way to go, baobei!

Today was spent shopping at Marina Square with my bro, my SIL and baby Jamie. Since Christmas is near, there were Christmas lighting everywhere and it was beautiful!

As my MIL is away on holiday (yes, again!), chubs has been staying with us since last Friday. Dressed her up in black and blue today for a change and she looked mighty good! :) Love it when I can have breakfast with her and hubs before work.

Jamie's 1st month celebration

Time really flies! And it seems to fly faster at each mention :s Jamie is 1 month old today! The celebration was held at the function room at Uncle Kelvin's place. It's a nice, spacious area with lotsa entertainment for the kids. There's a playground, arcade room, study room and big seating areas to comfortably accommodate all the guests.

Backlog

Hey all, this blog is not dead. It's just ... abit slow. *guilty look* Been rather occupied for the past month and due to some problems with my camera, has been unable to grab pictures from it and put them on the blog too. Blog entries are temporarily supplemented with pictures from my phone and until I can successfully upload more pictures from my camera, you just have to bear with the pathetic few from my phone. I am officially unable to connect my digicam directly to the lappie via fire wire. Had to upload photos via the memory card method instead and so, all photos are up now with the corresponding entries.

To prevent my blog from becoming lifeless and before my backlog buries me alive, I am now doing all the backlog and trying to churn out entries (with incomplete pictures) and will update/edit the entries whenever necessary. My backlogs are all done! YAY! Woooohoooo! Am still thinking if I should blog about my Japan trip ... hmmm ...

Off to Great-grandma's finally!

Finally, after so long, I paid a visit to my grandma again. Been months since I last did that and since my dad brought it up few days ago, I felt really guilty and arranged to go with chubs and him today.

Upon reaching my grandma's place and seeing my 4th Uncle (he absolutely adores children and have been wanting to see chubs for the longest time), chubs began crying really badly. We reckon she felt uncomfortable in the unfamiliar surroundings since it's been a while. She wanted to stay in my arms and refused to get near anyone else. They just had to keep trying to play with her and distract her with toys before she finally unknowingly started to play with my uncle beside her and finally, with her. They had a good time playing until she felt sleepy before everything went back to square one.

She was grouchy after her feed and kept crying regardless of how we tried to pacify her. She would stop only momentarily when we distracted her with random items and resumed bawling soon after. She refused to sleep on the mattress/sofa and in the end, after much pacifying to no avail, we decided to bring her home for her nap as she seemed really sleepy. I really hope she would get used to my grandma's place as that's a place I grew up in and my grandma is one of my persons I love dearly in my life. I hope chubs will grow to love her as much as I do too. It kinda upsets me to see my grandma and Uncle looking a tad disappointed at chubs' reaction at their place. Note to self: do not allow too much time to lapse before the next visit.
