Gong gong's birthday without chubs

Today's my dad's actual birthday but we could not bring baby to his place for the cake-cutting as it was going to be real late, way past baby's bedtime. So, we dropped by to play with baby for a while before proceeding to my dad's for the cake-cutting.

Gong gong's birthday

After dinner for birthdays on Alvin's side, today's my family's turn. My da sao's birthday is today and my dad's on 30 July so we had dim sum lunch at Xin Cuisine at Holiday Inn Atrium.

Celebration of 2 birthdays

Big family gathering again! This time, the dinner's for Alvin's big uncle(Ah Gu) and his mum. As their birthdays are only a week apart, they decided to celebrate it together and spilt the bill.

Before going out for the dinner, chubs huddled together with her Daddy for abit of bonding and napping time:

My poor little baby

Chubs hasn't been poo-ing since 14 July(Wed) and it has been rather worrying. For the first 2 days, we weren't too concerned as we thought it might be due to her stomach reacting to solids and we wanted to give chubs a little more time before we seek medical help. For the next 2 days, she had been just poo-ing teeny weeny bit and whenever it happened, she would cry really badly, like she's hurting very badly and is pushing very hard to get it out.

My MIL couldn't bear to see that happen anymore and thus decided to bring chubs to the doctor and the treatment was to put a "bullet" up her butt to help make her poo softer so she can poopoo with ease. As I weren't around for the earlier part of the day, some of the information were passed to me by my MIL/FIL. It seemed that chubs' poo was really hard and whenever she tried pushing, the "bullet" would come out, defeating its purpose of softening her bowels. Poor Yeye had to push it back in using gloves and after it happened a few more times, he actually had to do it without gloves. How great is the love! When I reached their place, chubs was crying soooo badly and her butt was all red :'( We all held her and got her to push with all her might and finally when she got it out, we were all soooo relieved! It seemed that there was this solid poo that she couldn't quite push out and when it eventually came out, she poopoo 4-5 times more throughout the day and cleared all her bowels(we think) for the past 4 days. Poor little baby was sooo exhausted by the whole episode and drenched with pespiration.

Lately, chubs has been trying to sit on her own but all that she has managed today was to sit sideways, kinda sexy I must say!

New toy!

Went shopping at NTUC with MIL and decided to get her this:

Verdict: Chubs, as well as me, loves it!

New walker and a Hermes scarf (kinda!)

As we went shopping with my parents the other day, my dad took a liking to a walker and decided to get it for chubs and my brother's baby. The walker is red and F1-themed. It also acts as a rocker and there's also a mat at the bottom to enable slight jumping for baby and also to stop her from moving. So this Sunday, we decided to let chubs try walking in it for the very first time and she seemed to like it! Was preoccuppied with the new sounds and buttons on the walker and having a good time in it.

 OK by now you might be wondering what that Herme scarf thingy is about. As chubs is now on porridge, a bib is a must when feeding her because of the mess that comes with it. So it happened that I forgot to bring her bib to my parents' place for her and my ingenious dad decided to improvise by using his hanky. This is the final result:
